Happy 2019! As we look back on 2018, we’re so grateful to everyone who made it possible for us to continue offering children’s programs while we’ve been in our temporary space.
Thank you to the Senior Center! They have graciously hosted us twice a week (and sometimes even more than that!) all year. Through their enthusiastic generosity, we’ve had story times, after school activities, and summer reading mayhem. Not only have they ensured uninterrupted library service, but they’ve also given us the taste for intergenerational programming. We love our story time guest readers, our pop in visitors, and our intrepid members of the Kids and Seniors Club. At the very least, our guest readers will be coming with us to 45 Pleasant Street, and we hope to continue finding connections across generations.
Thank you to Washington Crossing! Our neighbors across the parking lot have allowed us to offer Saturday programs, a boon to working parents. By opening their community spaces to the broader community, they have helped us provide story and music times — and for some people it was just a matter of walking downstairs!
We can’t wait to be back in our gorgeous library, but we can’t say loudly enough how great it has been to get to know and work with our community in exciting new ways while we’ve been in transition. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
