William H. Bartlett, a resident of Boston employed as a marketer, enlisted at the age of 21 on November 14, 1861 as a Private in the 4th Battery Massachustts Volunteer Light Artillery. He mustered in on November 17, 1861 and was discharged for disability on July 5, 1862 at New Orleans, Louisiana.
