Elbridge W. Pierce, a Woburn resident employed as a machinist, enlisted at age 19 as a Private in Company D, 6th Regiment Massachusetts Infantry on July 16, 1864 and mustered in on the same day. He mustered out on Oct. 27, 1864.

Born: Woburn, May 19, 1845. s. Charles and Margery T. Allen.
Died: Chelsea, Oct. 26, 1915.
