Rufus F. Poole, a Woburn resident employed as a shoemaker, age 23, enlisted as a Private in Company K, 39th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers on July 29, 1862 and mustered in on August, 22, 1862. He mustered out on June 2, 1865.
