Service Record:
Cyrus Tay, a Woburn resident and hotel keeper, enlisted at age 33 in Company B, 32nd Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers. He was commissioned as 1st Lieutenant and mustered in on November 15, 1861. He was promoted to Captain on August 14, 1862 and wounded at Gettysburg, July 2, 1863. He was discharged on November 16, 1864 as Captain of Company K.

Born: Woburn, Mar. 14, 1826 s. Josiah & Susan Johnson.
Married: 1st Lora Buckman of Woburn, May 9, 1848. 2nd Henrietta Wrisley of Woburn, Apr. 16, 1865.
Issue: Irma G (1873)
Died: Soldiers Home, Chelsea, Aug. 10, 1911.
Note: Buried in Woodbrook Cemetery, Pine Ave, Lot 'o.
