Service Record:
Charles Elijah Richardson, a currier from Woburn enlisted at age 18, on March 31, 1864, as a Private in Company K, 59th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, mustering in on April 2, 1864. He was taken a prisoner on March 25, 1865 in Sedman, Virginia. He was exchanged on March 29, 1865 and was transferred as Corporal on June 1, 1865 to Company K, 57th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers, mustering out on July 30, 1865.

Born: Woburn, Mar. 4, 1845 s. Elijah & Elizabeth Hall.
Married: Nellie E. Trull of Woburn, Oct. 31, 1867.
Issue Alfred F. (1868) Charles F. (1870) Edward H. (1879) Mary G (1880).
Died: Woburn, Dec. 15, 1923.
Note: Buried in Woodbrook Cemetery, Chapel Ave, Lot 211-13.
