Austin A. Fish, a resident of Maine, enlisted in Company L, Maine 1st Cavalry Regiment on November 1, 1861. He was promoted to Full Corporal, then promoted to Full Sergeant and finally promoted to Full 1st Sergeant. He mustered out on August 1, 1865 at Petersburg, Virginia.
