Edward C. Coleman [Edmund C. Colman], a resident of Boston employed as a treasurer, enlisted at age 23, May 5, 1864, in the 6th Regiment Massachusetts Volunteers Infantry Company F, and was commissioned as First Lieutenant and mustered in on July 16, 1864. He was appointed Adjutant on August 1, 1864 and mustered out on October 27, 1864.
