George Parker, a resident of Woburn employed as a farmer, enlisted at age 24 as a Private in Company G, 5th Regiment Massachusetts Infantry on August 25, 1862, mustering in on September 16, 1862. He mustered out on July 2, 1863 at Camp Lander, Wenham, MA.

Born: Bedford, N.H. Dec. 14, 1837.
Married: Mary L. Nichols, Oct. 5, 1862.
Issue: Helen L. (1865) Daughter ( 1870) John N. (1872)
Died: New Milford, Pa. Feb. 20, 1902.
Note: Buried in Woodbrook Cemetery, Chapel Ave. Lot no. 447.
