The Woburn Public Library supports its mission of enriching life in the community by developing and presenting programs that provide additional opportunities for lifelong learning, cultural enrichment, literacy support and community connection. In developing and delivering programs, the library staff utilizes staff expertise, collections, equipment, and facilities. The following criteria are used in making decisions about program topics, speakers, and accompanying resources.

  • Budget and cost of program
  • Space required for program
  • Presenter background/qualifications in content area
  • Relevance/appropriateness of program to library’s mission
  • Staff time
All programs at the library are open to the public and normally offered free of charge. Anyone interested in presenting a library program may submit a program application below that will be reviewed according to the above criteria. Please read the full Program Policy here.

Recording and Sharing Options

When possible, we try to make our programs as available as possible both in person and online. The following options are available, staff time and availability permitting.

  • In-Person only: no recording, livestreaming, or virtual offering allowed.
  • Zoom only: the presenter/presentation will happen via Zoom, and patrons may sign up to participate live and/or watch the recorded presentation via Zoom after the event through a private link.
  • YouTube Private Recording: the Library may record the program for sharing via a YouTube private link or Zoom private link with our patrons only.
  • YouTube Public Recording: the Library may record the program for sharing via YouTube publicly on our channel with no access restrictions.
  • Livestream: the Library may record and livestream the program via Facebook Live on our Facebook Page for anyone to see. The recording will be available for a period of 30 days after the program.
